Maxime Scheder, or Daalf as I’m known, I’ve been passionate about comic books for as long as I can remember. I long hesitated between physics and art. Like any sensible person, I simply chose both. Teacher by day, artist by night...

Far from being opposites, these two worlds feed each other. Physics has given me scientific rigor and a deep drive to understand the image’s underlying rules, such as perspective and composition. As a self-taught artist, I have built my technique through this discipline and through the influence of creators from all over the world.

For me, drawing is the ideal way to bring stories to life, from a single illustration to a full comic page. My goal remains the same: to use the precision of my art in the service of storytelling.
